FIND STORY

So How Do You Find Driving Test Cancellations?

1. Driving Test Gets Cancelled

As mentioned above, tests are cancelled for all sorts of reasons. Perhaps because of industrial action, instructor illness or the weather. Over 113,000 tests were cancelled in the 12 months leading up to April 2022 for example. And this number does not include the large number of individual users that move a test.

2. Test Appears on DVSA Site

Once a test has been cancelled, it will then re-appear on the booking website. These tests will not last long as they are usually in high demand. For example, if the current month was February and a test re-appears in March, this test will get taken within minutes due to the short timescales. That is why you need to be constantly searching to find earlier tests.

3. We Scan the Database Constantly

This is where we come in. We have systems in place that can continually monitor the DVSA database. We can search for over 16 hours a day (the booking system is closed overnight) and we are ready and waiting as soon as a cancellation appears. As soon as a driving test cancellation appears, we’ll take note o fit and move onto step four!

4. We Log the Date and Time and Hold It

Once a cancellation appears, we’ll look at the date, time and test centre of the cancellation. We’ll then see if it matches your preferences and store the date on our database.

5. We message you with the date available

Once we know that a date, time and test centre matches your preferences, we’ll send an SMS text message with the details on. As we operate different systems, these messages could look slightly different depending on the system used. For example, some of our systems only work with autobook so you will need to make sure you have that enabled to get certain cancellations found.

6. We book the test cancellation

Once the test is found we’ll proceed to book it for you. There are two ways to complete a booking. If you have enabled ‘autobook’ we will attempt to book some tests automatically for you. If you have not enabled autobook then you will need to reply ‘book’ in order for us to attempt to book the test. e.
